Unity and Peace Contract

​

We, the leaders of the indigenous tribes of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta declare the unification of tribes of the Koguis, the Wiwas and the Arhuacos without negotiation nor questions, recognizing the need and value of unity and peace to protect the territory and culture of the indigenous peoples of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the world from extinction.
For the safety of future generations, we declare that the unity of indigenous peoples is untouchable by trivial differences and past difficulties; in realizing and fulfilling our duty to protect the Sierra Nevada and its guardians, prohibiting the violation of this contract to all future tribal leaders. The organization of the unity of the tribes of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, is founded today and begins its work to protect the territory and culture of the tribes

through direct communication with the global community.

THE UNITY OF TRIBES, MAMAJERU, HEART OF THE EARTH- ORGANIZATION OF

UNITY OF THE INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES OF THE SIERRA NEVADA DE SANTA MARTA, COLOMBIA. Is umbrella organization of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. It is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, which protects the UNESCO Nature Reserve, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the autonomy of the Koguis, Wiwas and Arhuacos tribes, against the exploitation of the territory and the displacement of peoples. We declare the unity of the tribes as an unbreakable law for all future generations, and thus avoid the destruction of people, culture and land caused through trivial differences. Therefore, we agree today to unite the tribes in the World Organization, which represents the tribes of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and their interests in the world community. We understand that this contract of unconditional unity is the only way

to protect the indigenous culture from the loss of territory and the violation of the Sierra Nevada de
Santa Marta Natural Park.
As tribal leaders, we declare our autonomy in unity TODAY, despite trivial differences that may happen in the future. To ensure the safety of indigenous culture for future generations and the protection of the National Park, we authorize the organization MAMAJERU, HEART OF THE EARTH- ORGANIZATION OF
UNITY OF THE INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES OF THE SIERRA NEVADA DE SANTA MARTA, COLOMBIA. (heartoftheearth.net) and SUNSHINENETWORK. To take the necessary actions to achieve this common goal.
